March Madness... with a side of meatballs?

Just days away from the Sweet 16, the Bove’s crew is thinking about our brackets (or what’s left of them thanks to all of this year’s upsets) and debating this year’s Naismith finalists. I’m also busy trying to figure out what to feed the mob of hungry friends that are likely to crash the couch this weekend.

Naturally, I’ve been experimenting with different meatball recipes, and I’ve come up with a few ideas that I think the guys (and the ladies!) will love. Here’s one of my new favorites:

Bove’s Meatball Supreme Pizza

You’ll need:
• Pizza dough (homemade or store bought, whichever you prefer)
• Pasta sauce (I recommend Sweet Red Pepper, but any variety will do)
• Shredded mozzarella cheese
• Onions, roasted red peppers and any other favorite pizza toppings
• Bove’s Italian Style Meatballs (in your grocers freezer)

To prepare:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Spoon pasta sauce on to prepared pizza dough. Sprinkle with cheese and add the onions, roasted red peppers and any other desired toppings. Cut Bove’s meatballs in half and add to pizza.

Bake pizza for approx. 15 minutes or until meatballs are warmed through and crust is browned.

What are some of your favorite meatball recipes?
